Katara Cultural Village was surprising! I didn’t expect it to be so…Beautiful! Having not been there previously; I was taken back by the detail there.
The trunk show was great! People were lovely, designs are creative and over all atmosphere was welcoming, a lovely evening. I got an instant feeling of calm entering the art center, I felt right at home. The pop up reminsicent of the Chelsea Market Pop Ups in NYC.

What I wore to the event in the end:
Some of the designs on offer:
Love the body and shoulder chains:
Beautiful patterns and colours:
Some pieces by Carla Malari at CALA MARI, and of NOMAD* fame. Innovative and bold.
(I have bags just like the below from my Boutique: Tribe of Mannequins’ – launch: TBC.: In Silver, red and gold).
A piece from FRQ called ‘Billy the Bulldog’. I asked them if they had a similar one, but a ring with less bling, they did not – but this one is a cutie for sure. Love the pink tongue detail:
I ended up actually purchasing another of their pieces from their collection, a pink skull ring. It’s so well made and is a base of gold with pink on, and…Wait for it…Glitter!: (all other rings I am wearing below are all from my boutique: Tribe of Mannequins. Launch date: TBC):
Pink skull ring below from FRQ. The sandlewood prayer beads I sourced from Thailand. All other items featured here are from my Boutique ‘Tribe of Mannequins’ – launch date: TBC:
Broken mirror designs by L.A.S:
Some pieces from Dominika at Les Chérubins (Artist/Illustrator)
I’m a fan of the Russian Dolls, very cute:
I want to go back and get one of the cute snowmen in a cupcake case. Adorable:
Another piece from FRQ:
Following the trunk show, we wandered around the rest of the site; from art exhibitions to photography shows, from installations to a Dhow Festival on the beach; it was bustling down in Doha, by The Pearl last night, and a good time was had by all, I’m sure.
A beautifully golden mosque:
One of the grand doors to the amphitheater. I believe Jeremy Irons has been here:
An exhibition. Elizabeth Taylor in Iran:
This is from an exhibition from Iranian-American artist Eric Parnes. It’s titled called ‘I dream of Jeanie: I see demons':
I hope to get my collection and Boutique up and running for the next trunk show!
